Like many couples, Paige and Cam’s original wedding plans were waylaid by the Covid pandemic. Not long after making the decision to postpone their wedding until 2021, they reached out to us asking if we would be interested in coming to Joshua Tree to photograph their elopement. We decided that only one of us would go, and we decided it would be me (Kate.) I had never been to Joshua Tree, so I was super pumped to make the trip and see what the desert held in store for us!

Paige and Cam kept the ceremony minimal, letting the incredible morning light work its magic as dawn broke over the desert and illuminated the Joshua Trees. They did a traditional foot washing ceremony, which was officiated by Cam’s brother. They followed the ceremony with donuts in the parking lot and a nap back at the air bnb.

I’m going to post the portraits next, which we mostly shot on Kodak Portra 400 medium format film! Stay tuned!
